SLEEPING SIDEWAYS
i"ve been sleeping sideways in my bed with the sheets wrapped round my head....
i turn off the clock yeah i cant sleep with those lights blinking at me
heaven know i"ve tried to take the good with the bad but heaven don't cme round here no more
the windows have all been painted shut the paint has covered up all the locks and i couldn"t leave here if i tried
i've been drinking whisky from the neck i"ll drink it all coz i lost the cap
ain"t no phone in my lounge room no more and i"ll be damned if i"ll answer the door
the twenty four hour convenience store will b the saviour i"ve been praying for when i need a friend at 3
a chocholate milk and a dirty mag a cold long-neck in a paper bag have consolidated my needs
the streetlights have all been red for days woke up at the wheel in a drunken rage took my favourite pills for the pain
they"ve weighed me down so convincingly like two sandbags with a busted knee got me pullin my punches again again
i turn off my favourite cd because the songs are all laughing at me
